Using a Master Board to Create a Boat Load of Ephemera – Quick!
So you are making a journal, and you realize you need a bunch of tags. Or pockets. Or tuck spots. And you’d like them all to match, but not be exactly the same. And, it’d be great if they didn’t take 4 days to make, mmm-kay?
Enter the Master Board! Master boards are a quick way to create a group of cohesive embellishments or ephemera for a project. And they use up them scraps!
When you make a master board, you have a background for so many things, like:
- Tags to put in a journal as ephemera, or to use in making a tag book
- Pockets to add to inside pages of a journal
- Gift tags for bags or boxes
- Greeting card fronts
- Journal cover plates
And probably even more than I can think of!
So, hopefully you can see why having a bunch of quick and easy tags is helpful – especially around Christmas. I know I’m always looking for a tag for a gift tag as I head out the door with a bottle of wine to a friend’s Christmas party.
Craft along with me as I make 16 tags from one sheet of 12×12 scrapbooking paper! To keep the videos short, I broke it down into 2 parts.
