Postage stamps are perfect collage fodder. Stamps can be added to layers of a glue book or junk journal, or used as embellishments inside a handmade journal.
I always like to have a stack of them in my stash, because they are an easy go-to when a pages needs a little something extra. Or a pocket is looking a little too plain. Or a tag could use a little boost. Or… well, you get the idea!
And because you can make them yourself, you can easily make them match a theme or color in whatever project you are working on. Setting aside a little time to make a batch of these cuties is also like therapy. Just pull out your stash and go to town!
If you’re a beginner in the world of collage or junk journaling, you might think these tiny works of art are hard to make. But they are not! And today, I’ll give you the low down on how to get started and then I’ll show you 3 different ways you can make them look like stamps. I know there’s more than just 3 ways, but these ideas should get you started and you probably have some of the tools lying around the house!
