Art Discovery Tuesday – Cigar Box Labels
Memorial Day is coming up. I hope you get out and enjoy a fun weekend with friends and family! Ashley is home from school and I’m sucking up as much time as I can with her.
I found these cigar box labels in a label catalog with a ton of beautiful samples. The two here have an Americana theme, and I thought they would be great for the Tuesday before Memorial Day.
The company was called O.L. Schwencke and it was printed around 1905. To purchase a set of samples, you had to pay between 2¢ and 2¼¢. I’m not even sure how you do that! haha
