Quick and Easy DIY Cabinet Card with a Hidden Pocket
When I’m out at the flea market or antique shop, I’m always on the lookout for cabinet cards. These old photo cards were popular in the late 1800’s and often have the most interesting people in them. Not to mention the back of these cards sometimes have beautiful advertisements for the photographer who took the photo.
These cards are great to have tucket into pockets or clipped into journals, and I thought it would be even more fun to have one that had a hidden pocket! Because who doesn’t love a hidden pocket?
In the project I did, I didn’t use real cabinet cards, because I didn’t want to cover up the back of one, but I made the cards from scratch – and they turned out great. The images I used were from my premium membership over at The Graphics Fairy, but if you don’t have cards or images you can use, I’ve added a freebie for you! Just head over to my freebies page and scroll down to find the Cabinet Card Freebie.
