Junk Journal Signatures – How to put them together
The first couple journals I put together (and let’s be honest, some of the ones I put together now!) ended up being bigger than I had planned. When I put the signatures together, the book sat even, but after I put in all the pockets, tags, envelopes and journal cards – it made my book sit more open than I had planned!
While I love a good stuffed journal, that might not be your design. You might want to have a book that sits flat and even (are you hearing Marisa Tomei’s voice in your mind right now?).
So I thought a process video on putting together signatures, which includes some bonus content of:
- picking out papers – tips for variety and sources
- how to cut papers down to fit inside your journal
- tips for determining how many signatures to include in your journal
- how to decide how many pages each signature should have
